Started in 2015 in London, HalfStack is a series of creative JavaScript and web events hosted around the world. It’s organized by Dylan Schiemann who lives in Gilbert and is a member of The Works.

When: Feb 3, 2023. Arrive early, stay late
Where: Majestic Theatre, 5478 S Power Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85295
Who: About 200 people passionate about the possibilities of the web platform
What: A single track event with ten creative sessions, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinks, swag, a JS pub quiz with prizes, a screening of the original Matrix, and more.

Halfstack usually runs out of tickets, but this year they’ve added a second screen as an overflow room for when you feel like talking or taking a break but still want to listen to the sessions so we should have enough space for everyone that’s interested.

What to expect at HalfStack Phoenix 2023

An authentic, valuable experience for attendees and sponsors focused on UI-centric JavaScript and web development.

The priority for HalfStack is the attendee experience, with great food, drinks, talks, swag, and community. Hosted by London’s longest-lived JavaScript meetup group, HalfStack is coming to Phoenix for the second time. HalfStack is a creative, one-day single track conference hosted in a relaxed environment at the Majestic Theater Gilbert.

HalfStack carefully curates talks that inspire and inform the audience in a highly interactive and entertaining manner. An initimate feeling where each attendee has time to meet one another; maximum capacity for HalfStack Phoenix is 200 attendees.

The Works – Gilbert Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

January 8, 2019 The Works – Gilbert, in collaboration with the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 8, 2019. The event was a huge success, attended by chamber members, town officials, local business owners, family and friends. After the ceremony, the attendees had the opportunity to sit and relax and enjoy lunch. Tours of the facility at The Works included visits to the conference rooms, private office space, phone booths, community kitchen, and open seating areas were given during the event.
